RELEASE: Leavitt Appears With Conspiracy Theorist Madison Cawthorn

On October 24th, NH GOP first district congressional candidate Karoline Leavitt appeared alongside conspiracy theorist Congressman Madison Cawthorn at an event hosted by the Dartmouth Republicans.

During the event where Leavitt and Crawthorn shared the stage, reporting from Rolling Stone broke that revealed that organizers of the January 6th insurrection had met with Cawthorn’s office while they were planning their assault on the U.S. Capitol.

“Along with Greene, the conspiratorial pro-Trump Republican from Georgia who took office earlier this year, the pair both say the members who participated in these conversations or had top staffers join in included Rep. Paul Gosar (R-Ariz.), Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.), Rep. Mo Brooks (R-Ala.), Rep. Madison Cawthorn (R-N.C.), Rep. Andy Biggs (R-Ariz.), and Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-Texas). “We would talk to Boebert’s team, Cawthorn’s team, Gosar’s team like back to back to back to back,” says the organizer.”

In response to this disturbing report, NHDP Chair Ray Buckley has released the following statement:

“Karoline Leavitt and the entire Republican field must unequivocally denounce Madison Cawthorn for conspiring with the insurrectionists. By coordinating with those who attacked our Capitol on January 6th, Cawthorn’s disgusting and unforgivable actions led to the deaths of multiple U.S. Capitol Police Officers, harmed our Democracy, and weakened trust in our institutions. With these disturbing reports coming out, Leavitt must completely cut ties with Cawthorn.”
