NHDP Statement on Vice President Kamala Harris’ Visit to New Hampshire

“We are thrilled to welcome Vice President Harris to New Hampshire. Granite Staters are already seeing the positive impacts of the Biden-Harris administration through the American Rescue Plan, which has provided billions of dollars in federal relief to Granite Staters for stimulus payments, unemployment insurance, relief for small businesses, funds to keep our schools open safely, money for COVID testing and vaccines, and more. “We’re also looking forward to all that will be accomplished with the American Jobs Plan, which will make a historic investment in the state's infrastructure by providing funds needed to expand access to broadband, modernize public transit, help us implement the commuter rail to Boston that has widespread public support, and ensure that all New Hampshire communities have safe drinking water. “The Vice President’s upcoming visit is also an important reminder that while the Koch special interests, Washington Republicans, and Chris Sununu did everything they could to block necessary funding for New Hampshire during a global pandemic, Senator Shaheen, Senator Hassan, Congresswoman Kuster, and Congressman Pappas worked tirelessly to get this much-needed economic relief bill passed for Granite Staters.”
