NHDP Statement on Mike Pence Fundraising for NH State Senate Republicans

Today, multiple media outlets reported that former Vice President Mike Pence is visiting New Hampshire to speak at a December NH GOP State Senate fundraiser. Pence's campaign stop for Republican State Senators comes as Republican Senate President Chuck Morse is reportedly preparing a campaign for US Senate. In response, NHDP Chair Ray Buckley released the following statement:

“Chuck Morse isn’t even officially in the race and he’s already calling in out-of-state Republicans to raise his profile. Morse has championed extreme legislation like an abortion ban with no exceptions for rape, incest, and fatal fetal anomaly and school vouchers — so it’s no surprise he is bringing in an extremist like Mike Pence to campaign for him. “With Donald Trump, Mitch McConnell and Mike Pence all looking to decide New Hampshire Republicans’ next Senate nominee, this primary is sure to be a chaotic mess.”
