New Digital Ad Campaign Highlights How Ayotte Stands With Extremist Jon Stone Over New Hampshire Law Enforcement
CONCORD, NH — The New Hampshire Democratic Party today is launching a new digital ad campaign highlighting how Kelly Ayotte continues to stand with her endorser and top-Trump ally, State Representative Jon Stone, whose “law enforcement career ended when he threatened to kill fellow police officers in a shooting spree, and murder his chief after raping the chief’s wife and children.”
Over two weeks ago, InDepthNH released a shocking report on Stone’s actions. Still, Ayotte has repeatedly refused to condemn Stone’s threats of violence against New Hampshire law enforcement officers and their families. Stone’s name is still listed on Ayotte’s endorsement page on her website, and posts of them campaigning together are still live on her social media. Granite Staters have also spoken out against Stone’s horrific conduct, calling on him to be removed from city committees and boards, but Ayotte continues to stay silent.
“Kelly Ayotte is proudly standing by the endorsement of a man who threatened a shooting spree and sexual violence over New Hampshire police officers and families,” said NHDP Chair Ray Buckley. “Ayotte's refusal to renounce Jon Stone’s endorsement and condemn his abhorrent behavior is utterly disgraceful and completely disqualifying — and makes clear that she won’t hesitate to put her political ambitions over standing up for New Hampshire’s law enforcement.”
These are the first ads of this campaign cycle released by the New Hampshire Democratic Party against Kelly Ayotte.
