Sununu Backs DeSantis’s Vile “Migrant Flights”

CONCORD, NH — On CloseUp yesterday morning, Governor Sununu expressed support for Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’s inhumane “migrant flights,” his administration’s political tactic to manipulate migrants — many of them legal asylum seekers — into being shipped to other parts of the country under false pretenses. This has prompted a criminal investigation.

Sununu stated support for DeSantis’s potentially criminal displacement of migrants, but when asked if he was okay with these individuals being sent to New Hampshire, he said “Oh gosh no, of course not.”

In response, NHDP Chair Ray Buckley released the following statement:

“This practice is extremely inhumane and very probably criminal, and Chris Sununu’s endorsement of this vile political stunt is absolutely disgusting. These are people, not play things for MAGA governors.

The fact that our governor is in support of an evil practice like this is beyond unacceptable, and he needs to be replaced ASAP. We need a governor who recognizes the fact that all people deserve to be treated with human decency. Voters will remember this in November.”
