Statement on Rick Scott’s Visit to Fundraise for the NH GOP

National Republican Senatorial Committee Chair Rick Scott will visit New Hampshire today to headline the Sullivan County GOP Lincoln Reagan dinner. Scott’s visit to New Hampshire comes after multiple reports that Mitch McConnell and Senate Republicans could try and pass a nationwide abortion ban if they re-take the Senate and if the Supreme Court overturns Roe v. Wade. In response, NHDP Chair Ray Buckley released the following statement: “If Republicans re-take the Senate, the Republican Senate candidates would all be a yes vote for Rick Scott and Mitch McConnell’s push to criminalize abortion nationwide. Rick Scott’s visit is a reminder of just how out of step Senate Republicans’ anti-choice agenda is with Granite Staters — and how high the stakes are for reproductive freedom in New Hampshire’s Senate race.”
