STATEMENT: George Hansel Announces Support for Abortion Bans Across the Country

CONCORD, NH — This week, George Hansel announced on WMUR that he supports states banning abortion across the country with no exceptions for rape, incest, or the life of the mother. In response, NHDP spokesperson Monica Venzke released the following statement:

“It is unbelievable that George Hansel would support states banning abortion and threatening the health and well-being of women and families across the country. We’ve seen heartbreaking cases play out here in the Granite State and across the country as extreme, far-right Republicans have restricted access to reproductive health care. Voters in New Hampshire want leaders who will commit to fighting to codify Roe v. Wade and protecting women’s access to abortion and comprehensive reproductive health care.”
