Concord, N.H. - Yesterday, Governor Chris Sununu told the Union Leader that he "absolutely" supports Trump's push for a border wall, which has kept 800,000 Americans and 2,400 Granite Staters out of a paycheck for 34 days. Sununu also "hedged" when asked if he would ever shut down the New Hampshire state government, a move that would harm hundreds of thousands of Granite Staters. NHDP Chair Ray Buckley issued the following statement: "It has become abundantly and dangerously clear that Governor Sununu cares more about pleasing Trump and the extreme right wing than he does his constituents. His support of a wall at the expense of millions of Americans and thousands of Granite Staters is shockingly irresponsible and his refusal to rule out a New Hampshire government shutdown is likewise unacceptable. Sununu's comments are an embarrassment and show just how cravenly partisan our Governor truly is."
