NHDP Statement on Levenson filing to run in Congressional District 2

Concord, N.H. - Today, Former Medical Director of the Manchester VA Stewart Levenson, officially filed to run for Congress in the Second Congressional District. NHDP Chair Ray Buckley issued the following statement: "By backing President Trump & many of his radical policies, Stewart Levenson has established himself as an extreme ideologue who will put his party ahead of New Hampshire. Levenson is a proud supporter of Trump's tax plan, which gives trillions to billionaires and corporations while increasing the deficit by $1.5 billion and raising taxes on middle class families. Levenson also supports repealing the Affordable Care Act, which will cause millions of Americans and thousands of Granite Staters to lose their health insurance. This comes on the back of his abject opposition to a woman's right to make her own health care decisions. A Congressman Levenson would blindly follow Donald Trump at the expense of hardworking Granite State families. Now that he is officially on the ballot, voters in NH-02 can look forward to resoundingly rejecting Levenson and the other radical Republicans vying for the nomination when they re-elect Congresswoman Annie Kuster to a fourth term in office."
