NHDP Statement on 11th Anniversary of DACA

CONCORD, NH — On the 11th anniversary of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program, NHDP Chair Ray Buckley released the following statement:

“On this 11th anniversary, we celebrate not only the positive impact that DACA has had in New Hampshire, but also reaffirm our commitment to fighting for the rights of all immigrants. In New Hampshire, DACA recipients are an integral part of our state's fabric, embodying the New Hampshire motto of 'Live Free or Die' through their resilience, determination, and the pursuit of their American Dream.” “Dreamers are Americans. They are Granite State doctors, teachers, and small business owners. They strengthen our economy, enrich our workplaces, and during the COVID-19 pandemic, many served their communities on the frontlines. The New Hampshire Democratic Party stands firm in the belief that America's strength lies in its diversity, and that our immigrant communities make us richer in culture, innovation, and spirit.”
