Concord, N.H. - Today, on a unanimous vote, the newly elected Democratic State Senate majority selected Senator Donna Soucy as incoming Senate President, who appointed Senator Dan Feltes as incoming Senate Majority Leader. With Senator Soucy and Senator Feltes leading, State Senate Democrats are eager to get to work on a legislative agenda that will give all Granite Staters the opportunity to succeed. NHDP Chair Ray Buckley issued the following statement: “Congratulations to incoming Senate President, Senator Donna Soucy, and incoming Senate Majority Leader, Senator Dan Feltes. I have no doubt they will serve in their positions with distinction and will work closely with the Democratic-controlled State House to make life better for the people of New Hampshire. “Tuesday’s blowout election was a clear referendum on Sununu and the New Hampshire Republican Party’s corporate-sponsored and partisan agenda. Our new Senate majority is eager to get to work on behalf of all Granite Staters, acting as a check on Sununu’s radical and partisan policies, and making New Hampshire a more fair and prosperous place for everyone.”
