Sununu Signals He Will Sign Abortion Restrictions in the State Budget… Again

CONCORD, NH — Yesterday, Governor Sununu was on CloseUp, where he made clear that he would sign abortion restrictions again if they were on his desk and that he would not veto a budget with provisions that further his abortion ban.

In response, NHDP spokesperson Monica Venzke released the following statement:

“Sununu has shown time and time again that he will always cave to the NH GOP’s extreme anti-choice agenda. These are the same tired talking points he always uses as he tries to hide behind the legislature, and Granite State women aren’t falling for it. In 2021, Sununu signed an abortion ban with no exceptions for rape, incest, or fatal fetal anomaly, and what he’s proving now is that he’d do it again in a second if given another term to do so.”
