Sununu's Anti-Choice Record in Spotlight After Supreme Court’s Ruling on Reproductive Rights
CONCORD -- Chris Sununu’s decade-long anti-choice record is in the spotlight following the Supreme Court’s decision to turn its back on 50 years of precedent and render reproductive rights meaningless in Texas. On Friday, Democratic leaders called for a repeal of Governor Sununu’s abortion ban following the Supreme Court’s decision, as New Hampshire Republicans are gearing up to impose even stricter abortion bans in the Granite State. “The latest attacks on reproductive freedom in Texas serves as another reminder of Sununu’s anti-choice record — which includes defunding Planned Parenthood and signing into law an abortion ban and mandatory ultrasounds,” said NHDP Chair Ray Buckley. “New Hampshire Democrats will continue to hold Sununu accountable for his anti-choice record in the face of attacks in New Hampshire and across the country on reproductive rights.” Background on Chris Sununu’s Anti-Choice Record: Chris Sununu Signed An Abortion Ban and Mandatory Ultrasounds into Law.
