Statement On Speaker Sherman Packard Removing Representative Rung From Her Committee

Concord, N.H. -- In response to House Speaker Sherman Packard removing Representative Rosemarie Rung from her committee (as her bill was being successfully heard) - while refusing to hold his own members accountable for anti-Semitism, promoting violence at the U.S. Capitol and treason, New Hampshire Democratic Party Chair Ray Buckley released the following statement: “Instead of addressing the very real and dangerous issues within their own party or helping Granite Staters get through the COVID pandemic, the NH GOP is wasting taxpayer money playing shameful political games on Granite Staters’ dimes. “It’s clear that the NH GOP is rotting from the head down as Chris Sununu, Stephen Stepanek, and Sherman Packard refuse to hold their members accountable for anti-Semitic social media posts, for calling for a termination of the state of New Hampshire, or for supporting the violent riots at the U.S. Capitol. “Nearly every day, yet another outlandish action by NH Republicans make the news. The NH GOP has increasingly become unhinged, unmoored, and unfit to lead. Chris Sununu's NH GOP will continue to prop up and protect their anti-Semitic members and their members who care more about Trump than democracy."
