In case you missed it, the NHDP hosted back-to-back events over the weekend, with the annual McIntyre-Shaheen 100 Club Dinner on Friday and the 2022 State Convention on Saturday.
Granite Staters from the North Country to the Seacoast gathered in Manchester on Friday night for the completely sold out event and were joined by Former President of Planned Parenthood Cecile Richards. On Saturday morning, hundreds of delegates and guests, both online and in-person, were joined by special guest Marty Walsh, former mayor of Boston and keynote speaker Governor JB Pritzker of Illinois.

Executive Councilor Cinde Warmington and presumptive Democratic gubernatorial nominee Tom Sherman also criticized Sununu on abortion rights and his lack of pressure on Republican Executive Councilors to accept federal funding for women’s health initiatives due to their potential links to abortion access.
“Let me be very clear, you cannot claim to represent New Hampshire while you try to take away the freedoms of half of our population,” said [U.S. Senator Maggie] Hassan.
“Nobody knows about winning elections like Democrats in New Hampshire,” said Cecile Richards, joining the NHDP to help support Granite State Democrats up and down the ballot this November.
With hundreds of delegates in-person and online, New Hampshire Democrats have proven that they are fired up and ready to elect Democrats from the North Country to the Seacoast, take back our state legislative majorities, re-elect our federal delegation, and send Dr. Tom Sherman to the corner office.
“You have to use all your courage and all your kindness to keep that love alive and maintain your resolve during our darkest days. Why? Because we fight for the things that we love,” said Governor JB Pritzker.
New Hampshire Democrats zeroed in on abortion rights during their annual convention here Saturday, bringing in Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker to prop up the campaigns of Sen. Maggie Hassan and governor candidate Tom Sherman.
“The Republican Party is so afraid of the power and influence women have achieved in our society that they are seeking to shame and criminalize your very autonomy,” said Pritzker, who leads a state that has a law that codifies Roe v. Wade.
It’s a subject that generated the most applause throughout the day, including during a speech by Marty Walsh, Secretary of Labor and the former mayor of Boston (Massachusetts also has codified Roe).
