Longtime Educator and Community Leader Muriel Hall Garners Astonishing Amount of Support from Over Three Decades of Bow and Dunbarton Students
Bow, N.H. - Today, Muriel Hall announced that over 200 former students, teachers, and other Bow School District colleagues across her 32 year career as an educator endorsed her campaign for State Representative.
A lifelong Granite Stater and longtime Bow resident, Muriel has dedicated her life to enriching the lives of others. Prior to her retirement, Muriel taught at Bow Memorial School for 32 years. She has been recognized for excellence in education, leadership, advocacy, and service to community at the local, state, and national levels. Throughout her teaching career, Muriel put her heart and soul into her conviction that great public schools are a basic right for every child.
“It is overwhelming to receive these endorsements from so many people that I have known for so many years,” said Muriel Hall, longtime educator, community leader, and candidate for the June 8 special election. “I am proud to receive their support and am committed to defending New Hampshire’s wonderful public schools, students, and educators.”
“I can’t think of a more fitting leader to represent our community than Mrs. Hall,” said Olivia Krause, who graduated from the Bow School District in 2017. “I have looked up to her since she was my teacher in middle school and, 10 years later, we’re still in touch. Muriel Hall emulates a rare spirit of confidence, intelligence, and compassion -- traits that I strive to cultivate within myself. A dedicated educator, mentor, and inspiration, Muriel will serve New Hampshire with the contagious passion I have admired about her since we met.”
“Mrs. Hall was the teacher that impacted me the most during my time as a student in Bow,” said Emily Gatzke, Class of 2007. Thanks to her, I actually got excited about math, and that excitement spilled over into other academic pursuits and intellectual passions. What better candidate than someone who spent her entire career working for Bow and Dunbarton families.”
“Mrs. Hall was such a wonderful teacher,” said Rebecca Leach Arey, Class of 2000. “And while I could go on and on about what an impact she had on me as a teacher, what amazes me more is that even 20 years later she’s still thinking about her former students and helping them. I’m a nurse in Boston and during the height of the pandemic Mrs. Hall sent me homemade masks and headbands for me and my staff to wear when supplies were low. Having her reach out years after I’ve left the school system -- and the state -- is just a perfect example of how kind and thoughtful she is and how much she cares. I absolutely endorse her for State Representative.”
