CONCORD, NH — 2024 is just days away, but Nikki Haley has been telling us her New Year's resolutions for months, and signing a national abortion ban is at the top of her list. But Haley’s extreme record, including signing an extreme abortion ban with no exceptions for rape or incest, will be just as unpopular in the new year as it was in 2023.
Here’s a reminder of Nikki Haley’s extreme anti-abortion record:
Haley has pledged several times on the campaign trail to sign a national abortion ban if passed by Congress and has repeatedly doubled down on her support for a national abortion ban.
Haley even said that she would have signed a six-week abortion ban as governor if it was brought to her desk.
Haley has been silent on the legislation recently filed by NH House Republicans that would ban abortion at 15 days — before a woman might even become pregnant — and makes ZERO exceptions for rape or incest.
In South Carolina, Haley proudly backed legislation that took away access to reproductive health care:
Signed an abortion ban as governor that had no exceptions for rape or incest and threatened doctors with jail time.
Backed a complete abortion ban as a state legislator with no exceptions for rape, incest, or to save the mother’s life.
Voted to end abortion coverage for victims of rape and incest in the state health plan for employees.
