NHDP Statement on Vikram Mansharamani Becoming the Fifth Republican to Join the Messy NH GOP Primary

Today, Vikram Mansharamani announced that he is officially running for US Senate, becoming the fifth candidate to join the messy and crowded NH GOP Senate primary. The addition of another candidate – with just five months to go until the September primary – reflects Republicans’ lack of faith in the original field after their failure to raise money, connect with voters, or run effective campaigns. In response to the announcement, NHDP Chair Ray Buckley released the following statement: “Vikram Mansharamani is now the fifth candidate to join the NH GOP Senate primary, solidifying this as the messiest and most chaotic Republican Senate primary in New Hampshire history. For the next five months, all of these B-tier candidates will continue to trip over themselves as they make their entire campaigns about getting Trump’s endorsement and McConnell’s corporate special interest cash — and not about the issues that matter to Granite Staters.” Mansharamani joins Chuck Morse, Kevin Smith, Don Bolduc, and Bruce Fenton in challenging Senator Hassan. Mansharamani has already hired political consultants who would provide “a direct link to the world of former President Donald Trump.”
