NHDP Statement on the Second RNC Presidential Debate

CONCORD, NH — Ahead of tonight’s 2024 Republican primary debate, NHDP Chair Ray Buckley released the following statement:

“Tonight, every Republican on the debate stage will push an extreme MAGAnomics blueprint that would make life more expensive for working people — and line the pockets of the ultra-wealthy — instead of proposing any real solutions to the issues Granite State families care about. Some of these candidates are even joining Donald Trump in rooting for a Republican-led government shutdown that could devastate working people in New Hampshire.

“MAGA Republicans have made it clear that they’ll always put politics over Granite Staters, even if it means working folks miss their paychecks or families in need can’t access necessary care. This extremism will be on full display tonight — and Granite Staters will once again see the stark contrast between the GOP’s MAGA extremism and the historic accomplishments that President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris have delivered for our state.”
