NHDP Statement on the Passing of Hon. Phil Spagnuolo

Concord, N.H. - Following the news of the passing of community leader, recovery activist, and former Laconia State Representative Phil Spagnuolo, NHDP Chair Ray Buckley released the following statement:

“I and Democrats across the state are deeply saddened by this tragic loss. Phil was an extraordinary leader who dedicated his life to lifting up others and working to make New Hampshire a better state for everyone. He took life’s most difficult challenges and he fearlessly faced them head-on -- helping others every step of the way regardless of who they were, where they came from, or what they struggled with. Everything Phil did was with compassion, courage, and with the conviction that everyone could make a difference -- no matter how big or small. We’ve lost a true leader, friend, and mentor to so many, and I’m sending my deepest condolences to the Spagnuolo family, the Democrats in the Lakes Region, and all those who were lucky to know Phil.”
