CONCORD, NH — This Sunday marks the 87th anniversary of President Franklin D. Roosevelt’s signing of the Social Security Act.
In response NHDP Chair Ray Buckley released the following statement:
“This Sunday marks the anniversary of the creation of Social Security, a vital program that so many Granite Staters rely on. Democrats and President Biden have been building upon and safeguarding Social Security. Meanwhile Republicans here and across the country have been trying to gut this crucial program, targeting some of our nation’s most vulnerable.
This November, we have the chance to elect and re-elect Democrats who are going to protect critical programs like Social Security, lower costs, and fight for our Granite State values.”
