NHDP Statement on Sununu Inaugural Address

Concord, N.H. -- In response to Governor Chris Sununu’s inaugural address, NHDP Chair Ray Buckley issued the following statement: “Chris Sununu’s diatribe tonight had no policy, no plans, and was all just platitudes. Granite Staters know more about what Sununu read over winter break than what his plans are to get through the COVID-19 crisis he’s already severely mismanaged, rebuild our economy, or provide quality and affordable health care to our veterans. “Not only did his address lack any substantive plan to help struggling Granite Staters get through the pandemic, but he also barely mentioned the violent mob that stormed the United States Capitol yesterday after being incited by President Trump. As every New England governor -- both Democrat and Republican -- stood up for our country, Sununu’s silence was deafening. This is not leadership.”
