NHDP Statement on Sununu Hiding His Anti-Choice Agenda

CONCORD, NH – On CloseUp this morning, Governor Sununu attempted to hide his anti-choice agenda and downplay his signing of New Hampshire’s first abortion ban in modern history. When pressed, Sununu refused to commit to not sign a future budget that includes additional restrictions on Granite Staters’ reproductive rights. In response, NHDP spokesperson Monica Venzke released the following statement: “Sununu can try to hide his anti-choice agenda all he wants, but he cannot hide what he has done – he signed the most extreme abortion ban in New Hampshire history into law. Granite State women know that Sununu cannot be trusted, especially when it comes to protecting our right to choose.”
