Concord, N.H. - New Hampshire Democratic Party Chair Ray Buckley issued the following statement regarding the Strafford County Sheriff election results:
“Mark Brave is a New Hampshire trailblazer, and I want to congratulate him on his victory. As Strafford County's Sheriff, Mark Brave brings both his lived experiences as a seasoned law enforcement officer and as a Black man living in America to confront racism and issues of bias in law enforcement. Sheriff-elect Brave has proven himself an approachable listener to residents' concerns and a committed community partner, and we couldn’t be prouder that he made history last night.”
