CONCORD, NH — In response to Democrats' win in the Rochester Ward 4 special election, NHDP Chair Ray Buckley released the following statement:
“Congratulations to Representative Chuck Grassie on his powerhouse victory in the Rochester Ward 4 special election. The voters of Rochester have made their voices heard loud and clear today — they want responsible, tested leadership in the State House.
“Rochester voters have rejected the New Hampshire Republican agenda of dismantling our public schools, rolling back reproductive rights, and letting far-right extremists dictate policy and rhetoric in the State House. Instead, they’ve embraced a future with strong public schools, steadfast protections for women, and a return to safe, sane leadership in Concord.
“The NHDP has shown once again that we run the best special election campaigns in the state. We want to thank the incredible efforts of the House Democratic Victory Campaign Committee, our Democratic federal delegation, the Rochester City Democrats, the Strafford County Democrats, and the activists and volunteers who helped deliver this win."
