NHDP Statement on NH GOP Senate’s Gerrymandered Map
CONCORD, NH— In response to Republican State Senators voting to approve the gerrymandered Senate district maps on a 10-14 party line vote, NHDP Chair Ray Buckley has released the following statement:
“The gerrymandered State Senate map that the Republican members of our Senate voted to pass today flies in the face of everything Granite Staters wanted out of the redistricting process. Granite State voters want and deserve fair maps so they have effective representation. Instead, New Hampshire Republicans are attempting to stack the deck to give themselves an unfair advantage so they can cling to power in the State Senate at the expense of Granite Staters’ needs. Chris Sununu said he would veto any map that doesn’t ‘pass the smell test’, and this map stinks to high heaven.”
