NHDP Statement on New Hampshire Secretary of State Setting the First-in-the-Nation Primary Date

CONCORD, NH — In response to New Hampshire Secretary of State David Scanlan setting the date of New Hampshire’s First-in-the-Nation Primary, NHDP Chair Ray Buckley released the following statement:

“New Hampshire has held the first in the nation presidential primary since 1920. For more than 100 years, Presidential candidates of both parties have come to the Granite State time and again because, no matter who they are, where they come from, or how much money they have, they know they will get a fair shot from Granite Staters.”
