As the first woman leader of the house, she has led a groundbreaking and glass ceiling shattering career, and paved the way for a generation of young women in Washington. “She is a destroyer of expectations and naysayers, her leadership has been central to Democratic success in the 21st century, and has provided a blueprint for our party’s success in the future.”
