CONCORD, NH — In honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, NHDP Chair Ray Buckley released the following statement:
"Today, we pause to remember and reflect on the life of the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Dr. King led our country closer towards a more perfect union in the fight for voting rights and equal treatment under the law.
I hope today we are all inspired by his immortal words, ‘Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter.’ Today and every day, we must remember to always advocate for justice, equality, and equal rights for all — both here in New Hampshire and all over. Dr. King showed us that progress can be made by everyday people like you and me. I hope you join me in following in his example and using this day to serve my community."
