NHDP Statement on Labor Day

CONCORD, NH — Today, the United States celebrates Labor Day, a holiday to honor the American worker and the organized labor movement.

In response, NHDP Chair Ray Buckley released the following statement:

“As Democrats, we know that our Labor Unions are the backbone of the American worker and that our fight for equality in the workplace would not be possible without them. The cause of the labor movement is the very foundation of values on which the Democratic party stands.

While Republicans in New Hampshire fight against organized labor at every opportunity, Democrats are fighting for our unions, liveable wages, safer working conditions, and our small businesses. This November, we must elect leaders that are going to stand up for our workers and fight for Granite State values.”
