NHDP Statement on Another Strong Jobs Report Thanks to Democrats

CONCORD, NH – Today, the U.S. Department of Labor announced record job creation and unemployment numbers in New Hampshire and across the country, thanks in large part to the leadership of President Biden and Democrats in Washington.

In response, NHDP Executive Director Troy Price released the following statement:

“Thanks to President Biden and Democrats in Washington, in the last month, over 6,600 new jobs were created for Granite Staters. New Hampshire is at our lowest unemployment rate in decades. As we recover our economy from the toll of the pandemic, these numbers are a breath of fresh air and fantastic news for all Granite Staters.

“Across the country, the number of Americans forced to rely on unemployment insurance programs fell to its lowest level in over 52 years. Millions of families have moved from government support to earning a paycheck. While there is still work to do, this historic progress is the result of President Biden’s economic plan to grow the economy from the bottom up and middle out, as well as the fierce advocacy and strong leadership of our federal delegation.”
