NHDP Reaction to President Biden's State of the Union Address

CONCORD, NH – In response to President Biden’s State of the Union address this evening, NHDP Chair Ray Buckley has released the following statement:

“Under the leadership of President Biden and New Hampshire’s federal delegation, our country has seen unprecedented job creation and historic economic growth – the fastest economic growth since 1984 and the most jobs created in a single year. While Republicans have no solutions to provide relief for Granite State families, President Biden tonight laid out a comprehensive vision to revitalize American manufacturing and to bring down costs of everyday expenses that Granite State families face like prescription drugs, energy bills, education, and housing."

“President Biden and Democrats’ vision of an economy that grows from the bottom up and the middle out couldn’t be more different from Republicans’ failed trickle-down economic schemes that include higher income taxes for half of our population, including seniors and retirees. Republicans may view families struggling as a ‘gold mine’ for their political fortunes, but as we heard tonight, President Biden and Democrats are taking action to deliver relief for families, and they’re getting results.”
