NHDP on Biden Administration Opening the Special Health Insurance Enrollment Period

CONCORD, N.H. - Starting today and running through May 15, the Biden Administration is opening HealthCare.gov for all Americans to have the opportunity to sign up for health insurance.

In response to this news, New Hampshire Democratic Party Chairman Buckley has issued the following statement: “Today is a good day to be a Democrat because open health insurance enrollment through the Affordable Care Act (ACA) is back! From now until May 15, go to healthcare.gov to sign up for a health care plan that’s right for you. Democrats believe that healthcare is a right, not a privilege, and we will fight to ensure that all Americans have access to the health care they need – especially in the midst of a pandemic. Despite the Trump Administration’s efforts to sabotage the ACA, over 46,000 Granite Staters signed up for insurance on the federal marketplace last year. I’m grateful for the work of our federal delegation who have fought for the last four years to preserve the ACA, and now under President Joe Biden, NH residents will be able to receive the care they deserve once again.”
