CONCORD, NH — Ahead of Donald Trump’s visit to New Hampshire, Senator Jeanne Shaheen, Senator Maggie Hassan, Congresswoman Annie Kuster, and Congressman Chris Pappas released the following statement:
“Every time Donald Trump steps foot in New Hampshire it is a reminder of the dangerous agenda he’ll impose on the American people if he gets the chance, especially on the freedom of women to choose what they do with their own bodies. Because of Trump’s work to overturn Roe, New Hampshire women are bracing themselves for one of the most extreme abortion ban proposals in the country with no exceptions for rape or incest. And as Trump continues to threaten our democracy and freedoms, Granite Staters know just how crucial it is that we reject a candidate who is willing to parrot dictators and attack his political enemies as ‘vermin’ to get back into office and pass his extreme agenda. Trump made political division, fearmongering, and extremism the core of his first term, and this campaign has been no different – the stakes couldn’t be higher in 2024.”
