Concord, N.H. -- In response to Andrew Maneval’s victory in the Cheshire-9 special election, NHDP Chairman Ray Buckley has released the following statement:
“I’m proud to congratulate Andrew Maneval and his campaign on a strong grassroots victory. Andrew is a respected member of his community and he will represent his friends and neighbors well in Concord. We know that in the State House, Andrew will fight to take action on climate change, defend and improve public education, and make quality health care accessible to all Granite Staters.
“Tonight's results represent the third consecutive special election win for Granite State Democrats. This is another clear rejection of Chris Sununu and the NH GOP’s agenda -- an agenda that is totally out of step with Granite Staters. While the NH GOP continues to defund public schools, attack reproductive rights, and fully embrace anti-vax conspiracy theories that jeopardize the health of Granite Staters and our ability to fully recover from the pandemic, New Hampshire Democrats are holding them accountable and standing up for New Hampshire values.
“Tonight’s results also show the continued momentum that Democrats are building throughout the Granite State. We know that Granite Staters are sick of failed NH GOP leadership and the momentum we’re building now will continue through next week’s municipal elections, 2022, and beyond.”
