Annie Kuster Wins NH-02 Debate Without Being on Stage

CONCORD, NH — Last night, WMUR hosted the NH-02 Republican debate as part of their Granite State Debate series. Like usual, Bob Burns, George Hansel, and Lily Tang Williams spent the hour highlighting their out-of-touch agendas and trying to see who can be the most MAGA. Spoiler alert: they all lost.

All three candidates reiterated their opposition to any common-sense gun safety measures and any abortion access protections, however they enthusiastically confirmed support for Trump if he were to run for president in 2024.

In response, NHDP Chair Ray Buckley released the following statement:

“After each and every debate, Bob Burns, George Hansel, and Lily Tang Williams leave the stage looking even more out-of-touch than before. Bob Burns reconfirmed his support for a federal abortion ban before spending the rest of the debate calling George Hansel a Democrat, while George Hansel struggled to answer any questions with substance. They are all wildly out of their element, and completely unfit for any elected office.

Shockingly, once again, the winner of last night’s debate was overwhelmingly Congresswoman Annie Kuster.”
