Statement of New Hampshire Democratic Party Chair Ray Buckley on Today's Debate Announcement

Today, in response to the Democratic National Committee's announcement that ABC, in partnership with WMUR-TV and Apple News, will host the eighth Democratic debate at St. Anselm College in Manchester on February 7th, New Hampshire Democratic Party Chairman Ray Buckley released the following statement:

"We're thrilled to be chosen by the DNC to host a Democratic debate here in Manchester. This debate will provide an important opportunity for voters to hear about the Democratic candidates' plans to help the Granite State – just days before New Hampshire heads to the polls.

"All of our Democratic candidates are talking about rebuilding the middle class, making college more affordable, making sure Americans have access to quality affordable health care, and protecting a women's right to choose. These Democratic values really highlight the stark difference between our Democratic candidates and that Republican who currently occupies the White House as well as his biggest New Hampshire booster, Chris Sununu.

"The difference between Democrats who are working for everyone, and Republicans like Trump and Sununu who are only working for special interests, will be on full display here on February 7th."
