Kuster Maintains Strong Lead in Recent UNH Poll, Negron's Extreme Views Fail to Gain Traction

Concord, N.H. - Today, a new UNH poll showed Congresswoman Annie Kuster leading Republican Steve Negron 53 to 38. This is the third poll showing Annie in the lead after an Emerson poll had her up by 19 points and a Saint Anselm poll had her up by 27 points. The Saint Anselm poll also showed that 75% of 2nd Congressional District voters had never heard of Steve Negron. NHDP Chair Ray Buckley issued the following statement: “New Hampshire’s Second Congressional District knows that with Annie Kuster as their Representative, they have a proven fighter willing to work across the aisle to deliver results. It’s no wonder that this is the third poll showing Annie miles ahead of Steve Negron, whose agenda comes directly from the playbooks of the most extreme Republican insiders. “Negron’s support of forced conversion therapy for minors, his anti-choice beliefs even in cases of rape, incest, or even if the life of the mother is at stake, and his denial of climate change don’t stand a chance when put up against Annie’s strong record of fighting for Granite Staters. And if this poll is any indication, the voters overwhelmingly agree and make their voices heard on November 6.”
