Roosevelt Awards, respectively, for their excellence in fighting for social and economic justice. State Senate Candidate (D-8) Jenn Alford-Teaster received the Emerging Leader Award for her leadership and commitment to public service, and State House Candidate (D-17) Safiya Wazir received the Kathy Sullivan Award for her demonstration of courage and leadership.

Statement from NHDP Chair Ray Buckley:

“Tonight’s Eleanor Roosevelt Dinner was one for the books. Congratulations to all of our honorees! We’re grateful for their efforts to lift up the people of New Hampshire in their everyday lives and through public service.

“Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves and we couldn’t have asked for a better turnout. The funding raised will directly help our Democratic candidates as they head into the final stretch of the general election, with less than four weeks to go. We’re incredibly grateful for all of our supporters who continue to make our work possible and stand with us as we fight for the values we believe in."
