NHDP Statement on override of Sununu's SB 365 veto

Concord, NH - Following the override of Governor Chris Sununu's veto of SB 365 by the New Hampshire legislature, New Hampshire Democratic Party Chairman Ray Buckley issued the following statement:

“I’m glad to see that bipartisanship is alive and well in New Hampshire, where today legislators from both parties united in opposition to Governor Chris Sununu’s irresponsible veto of SB 365.

“The governor’s veto threatened the livelihoods of thousands of Granite Staters and a dozen towns in economically vulnerable areas of our state. Sununu did this without a plan to help these people and these towns deal with the aftermath of his decision, all in service of the corporate special interests and utility companies that fund his campaign.

“Thankfully we have a legislature for times like this when our governor is completely beholden to his corporate donors.”
