Concord, N.H. - The New Hampshire Democratic Party today announced Alec Baldwin as this year’s keynote speaker at the inaugural Eleanor Roosevelt Dinner. The dinner will take place on Sunday, October 14, at 5:00 p.m. at the Manchester Downtown Hotel.
“We’re seeing Democrats gain momentum in New Hampshire and across the country, and we’re thrilled to have our special guest speaker join us as we continue to get our message out,” said NHDP Chair Raymond Buckley. “It’s going to be an exciting evening for all of those in attendance -- you won’t want to miss it!”
Recently, the New Hampshire Democratic Party renamed its annual fall fundraising dinner to the Eleanor Roosevelt Dinner. Eleanor Roosevelt dedicated her life to helping all hard-working Americans and standing for all those who needed a champion.
"With 69 days until the election, I have dedicated my efforts to helping the Democratic Party win across the country," Baldwin said. "I’m excited to speak at the Eleanor Roosevelt Dinner knowing that New Hampshire has been on the frontlines of electing strong Democratic candidates to office.”
Alec Baldwin is an award winning actor, writer and producer. Best known for his roles in movies from The Hunt for Red October to the Mission: Impossible franchises and television shows from 30 Rock and Saturday Night Live. He has won three Emmy Awards, three Golden Globe awards, and seven SAG awards, more than any other male performer. He is co-author, with Kurt Andersen, of the best-selling Trump parody memoir, "You Can't Spell America Without Me." He also hosts the popular podcast "Here’s The Thing."
This year, the dinner is particularly important because the funds raised will help support and elect Democrats up and down the ticket who share the same values of social and economic justice as Eleanor Roosevelt.
