Concord, N.H. - Following reports that New Hampshire Department of Education spokesman Anthony Schinella made a series of racist comments in response to a meeting of business leaders, government officials, and others this week on diversity in New Hampshire, New Hampshire Democratic Party Chairman Ray Buckley issued the following statement: "It is not enough to simply call these racist comments 'unacceptable.' Governor Sununu must demonstrate that he will not tolerate racism in his administration, especially from someone tasked with representing the state to the public, by following through and making sure this spokesman is fired. Anything less would send a message to people of color that the Governor of New Hampshire is willing to condone racist views from state officials."
