Sununu earns himself a front row seat at the White House, but fails to deliver for New Hampshire

Concord, N.H. - Governor Sununu earned himself a front row seat at the White House today, his tenth time visiting President Trump since taking office last year. Despite having justified his visits in the past saying it's his job to "constantly advocate" in the White House, Sununu has repeatedly failed to secure any additional resources or assurances for New Hampshire. NHDP Chair Ray Buckley issued the following statement: "Governor Sununu often comes back from his White House trips empty handed and full of praise for President Trump. That praise has earned him a front row seat at Trump's White House events. Instead of earning Trump's approval, Sununu should focus on on helping the people he was elected to serve, especially after his budget underfunded the opioid fight and New Hampshire lost jobs in 2017 for the first time since the Recession. New Hampshire deserves a governor who will fight for all Granite Staters, not one who spends his days parroting Republican talking points while blindly supporting Trump. If Sununu refuses to do his job, we'll make sure he can spend all the time he wants in DC after we make him a one-term governor in November."
