Concord, N.H. - Today, New Hampshire Democratic legend and former State Senator Mary Louise Hancock, the first ever woman elected to Senate District 15, passed away at the age of 98. NHDP Chair Ray Buckley issued the following statement: "Mary Louise Hancock was a giant of New Hampshire politics. More than a Senator and a glass-ceiling shattering woman, she was the embodiment of what it meant to be a New Hampshire Democrat. Our thoughts are with her family and loved ones today. She will be dearly missed and long remembered."
