Concord, N.H. - Today, Nevada Governor Brian Sandoval directed the Nevada National Guard to "make no modifications to the current policy [on transgender Americans serving in the military] unless instructed to by the Secretary of Defense." In March, Sununu said he had "no personal opinion" on transgender rights and has been silent about President Trump's decision to ban transgender Americans from military service. NHDP Chair Ray Buckley issued the following statement: "Will Governor Sununu direct the New Hampshire National Guard to protect the rights of transgender service members or will he continue to have 'no personal opinion' on equal rights for all Granite Staters?"
